What you don’t know can’t hurt you

Ignorance is bliss
And it’s the things that you get that hurt you,
Not the things you miss.
So I zone out and leave myself alone to be trapped in voluntary solitude
And I stop myself from breathing too quickly
Because that would shatter the magic.

Settling down into a pace of
Hibernation,
My heart slows down just a little when I think of you
And what we’re not.
But by using anything as my
Drug to escape
I’m able to snap out of it, the painful hypnosis-
And instead fall into the bliss of
Hurting myself more to stop hurting over you.

What you don’t know can’t hurt you
