Dogma

If only, if only
There were ways to take back words already said
Like returning used Christmas lights
At the end of the season.

If only, if and if only
There was a way to make you understand
That feelings are so much more
Than they seem.

If only, if only
The planet we stand on turned a little bit slower
So that seconds became minutes
And minutes became hours
So that each fleeting second
Could last a bit longer.

If only,
If only.
